I've been using Windows XP for many years, and I like the look and feel of it. While I'm sure I could get used to Windows 7 after some time, my big issue is that I have 7 or so years of archived emails under Outlook Express, and I need to refer to these from time to time. Windows 7 does not support Outlook Express, and the effort of exporting all those archived boxes to Windows Live Mail is far too much.
I have a new laptop for traveling - it came with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. On my travels I will need to refer to recent and not-so-recent emails.
What are the options? Reformat my hard drive under Windows 7 Home Premium and re-install Windows XP? Not for me! Install a Windows XP partition under Windows 7? Doesn't work unless you have Windows 7 Professional edition!!
Solution? Zinstall. It takes a while to set up, but once it's done, it's brilliant. I had a problem with the installation - turned out to be a missing file, and it was quickly rectified in a live remote session. When I needed to re-install Zinstall and the problem recurred, the technicians emailed instructions on where to find the missing file and where to place it.
