Revert Zinstall old desktop to snapshot/restore point

In order to revert the Zinstall old desktop to the sate it was just after the migration, do the following:

If your new computer has a 64bit windows ( e.g. Windows 7 64 bit ):

  1. Power off the old desktop using Start > Shut down.
  2. Open a command prompt: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, and run the following commands:
    1. cd “c:\Program Files (x86)\Zinstall\client_utility”
    2. ZinstallHostUtility.exe revert
  3. Wait for a message to appear saying that it was reverted

 

If your new computer has a 32 bit windows ( e.g. Windows XP or Windows 7 32 bit ):

  1. Power off the old desktop/zpod using Start > Shut down.
  2. Open a command prompt: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, and run the following commands:
    1. cd “c:\Program Files\Zinstall\client_utility”
    2. ZinstallHostUtility.exe revert
  3. Wait for a message to appear saying that it was reverted

 

ATTENTION:

This will revert all changes made to the Zinstall old desktop since the migration - including any changed or newly created files inside them. Before reverting, it is highly recommended to backup any files you need from the Zinstall old desktop by using "Show old desktop files".
