Windows on old desktop / ZPOD requires activation
In some cases, Microsoft requires re-activation of its software when Windows determines that the system's component(s) have been changed.
Microsoft's policy in this regard varies from time to time and depends on several factors, such as: which and how many components were changed, and - most significantly - which edition of Microsoft Windows is used.
Usually, re-activation can be done on-line automatically or by phone. However - it is subject of Microsoft's license terms and its actual policies.
