According to Roy Illsley, senior analyst with Ovum, the percentage of businesses using desktop virtualisation will increase significantly over the coming months - from one per cent globally this year to five per cent by the end of next year...
Chris Ingle, analyst with IDC, also believes that the arrival of Windows 7 - means 2010 will see many businesses begin considering desktop virtualisation: "Desktop will be the interesting one next year. I think businesses are going to be looking at Windows 7 and looking at virtualisation as a way of making it easier to deploy and manage".
